Danny’s been a musician since the age of two. Starting with classical piano study, in Newton, Massachusetts, he performed with various ensembles until he joined his first Jazz band in High School. At that point he started to develop his unique vocal styling. His inspiration came from listening to Sinatra, Mel Torme and Harry Connick, Jr.
After studying at Berklee College, Danny dedicated his life to Jazz Music and began playing professionally, entertaining audiences all over the globe with some of the top Jazz Artists like The Brubeck Brothers Quartet, David ‘Fathead’ Newman, Jimmy McGriff, Sweet Georgia Brown and Jimmy Norman.
Danny’s debut album, “Live At Ellington’s Vol 1” was recorded in front of a live audience at Ellington’s Jazz Club & Restaurant on Sanibel Island in Florida, where he regularly performs. It includes timeless favorites like “All of Me,” “Straight No Chaser,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “I’ve Got A Crush On You.”
His second project, “Live At Ellington’s Vol 2,” grew from shows he performed with jazz artists of the The Jazz Foundation of America benefits the owner of Ellington’s host bi-annually. Jimmy Norman was one of the legendary performers to appear, and the electricity between Jimmy and Danny Sinoff was immediately apparent. The result of three live recorded shows is a swinging session of classic Jazz tacks like “Where or When,” “I Get A Kick Out of You”, and “Going to Chicago Blues.”
“Ellington’s Presents…” is Danny’s first studio recording and bought him together with Jazz & Blues Sax legend David ‘Fathead’ Newman. Newman’s complete mastery of the tenor saxophone is fully evident on this recording, playing behind Danny’s vocals on “Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me,” “Over the Rainbow and “Cry Me A River.”
